£3,518 donation to Young City Reads

YCR aims to foster the joy of reading for pleasure and inspire reluctant readers. The project culminates each May in an event at Brighton Dome, at which the children have the chance to meet the author. This year's book is Onjali Q. Raúf's, 'The Boy at the Back of the Class' . It tells the story of Syrian refugee Ahmet - the new boy in school. Our donation will enable children from three schools in Whitehawk to be involved in the project.
