Sophie Pester receives Pebble Trust Brighton Fringe Award
"Female friendship can be more consuming than any romantic love. Bea and Angela, just sixteen, make a pact, no men, no marriage, no children. Now in their thirties, the pair reunite for one short evening after 10 years of silence. But small talk is shallow and appearances thin, as conversation flows alongside glasses of wine the words most important are those left unsaid."
As an award winner, Sophie received her Fringe registration fees plus £300 from The Pebble Trust to put towards production costs. She will also be able to benefit from professional mentoring sessions from our judges in the run-up to the Fringe.
