£5,000 donation to mASCot
The groups allow attendees to spend time with peers in a relaxed, non-judgemental, low-demand environment. This can be a lifeline for children who are marginalised and socially isolated. Around 30% of attendees are unable to go to school, and for many, this is their only opportunity to spend time with other children. Last year, a total of 176 children attended a group. The positive impact reaches far beyond the groups themselves, with families reporting improved relationships and reduced social exclusion. Our donation will be put towards venue hire and equipment costs.
